The purpose of the IFOR Women Peacemakers Program (IFOR/WPP) Training of Trainers (ToT) is to bring together 20 women and men practitioners/trainers from the Asia region, working in the fields of peace building, gender, and women’s empowerment. The Asia ToT aims to provide a platform for a rich exchange of insights and experiences on the issues of gender-sensitive active nonviolence (GSANV), masculinities, femininities and a variety of issues relevant to peacebuilding in different Asian countries.
The training will cover the theory and practice of gender-sensitive active nonviolence and will provide an opportunity to consider case studies from the Asian region. Networking, lobby and advocacy, as well as regional movement building will be addressed too.
Participants and/or their group/organization must be prepared to contribute what they can to the implementation of the follow-up training in the home country (e.g. labour, materials and/or venue). Participants are requested to contribute to their travel and/or accommodation costs if they have ability to do so.
