Salary: £15,835 to £17,822 per annum (pro rata to £26,391 - £29,704).
Applications are invited for the position of a fixed term part time (60% FTE) research administrator in the Centre for Child Research, reference 5248. The post will be available from 1st November 2009 to 31st December. The recently formed Centre aims to support the development of high quality, collaborative, inter-disciplinary research in child-related issues. This post is funded by external funding from an EU Tempus project building on research into the provision for dyslexia in Higher Education in EU/Balkan countries.
The post offers an exciting opportunity to work on an EU Tempus grant. The post holder will be required to assist with the research of the project and support the administration of the project, liaising with partners in EU/Balkan countries, maintaining records and working with the project director to produce reports.
Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills, experience of report preparation and the ability to work under their own initiative. Knowledge of EU requirements with regards to report management is desirable. An understanding of the theory and practice of dyslexia would be an asset.
This part time post is advertised in conjunction with a part time Finance Officer post on the same project. Applicants interested in combining the posts into one full time position would also be welcome.
