As a modern, forward-looking University, Glasgow Caledonian already offers an excellent learning and teaching environment to its undergraduate and postgraduate students. To enhance this further, the University has established a renewed focus on technology enhanced learning as an integral part of the student experience.

We now seek to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Blended Learning Advisor to work closely with the Blended Learning Co-ordinator and the cross-University blended learning implementation group to embed new forms of learning within a wide range of programmes and modules.

The primary purpose of the role will be to guide and support academic colleagues as they develop new approaches to blended learning, based on sound pedagogical and technological understanding.

The successful candidate will hold at least an honours degree.  One of the essential criteria for this post is considerable experience of advising on innovative approaches to learning and teaching using virtual learning environments (preferably the Learning, Content and Community systems of the Blackboard Academic Suite).  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside knowledge of national developments and emerging trends in technology enhanced learning in higher education.
