The Applied Mental Health subject area is recognised nationally and internationally for the provision of a range of programmes in mental health nursing, counselling and psychotherapy. We wish to recruit an experienced academic and teacher to provide outstanding provision of teaching and learning in the field of cognitive behavioural psychotherapy and take an active role in leading a modular programme (Post Graduate Diploma in CBP (IAPT)) to ensure excellence in the quality of the student learning experience.
The person appointed will be qualified and experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and accredited by BABCP. A passion for evidenced based practice and the skills and knowledge to provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities to our students and to clinical supervisors and trainees working in region’s IAPT expansion sites are essential. Experience of organising and leading modules and programmes is desired as is the ability to develop teaching and learning in the subject area using a range of current and experiential teaching methods. The ability to liaise and work collaboratively with our partners within the University and externally in the East Midlands Region is vital. The person appointed will be expected to become an active member of the Applied Mental Health Research Group in the subject area.
