Fixed term contract - £10,000 set fee with contract to begin in early December 2009 and completing by 29 January 2010.
This is an exciting opportunity to make an important contribution to the work of the National Literacy Trust. We are passionate about the power of literacy to establish a more equal society.
Family Reading Matters is a pilot project, working with local authorities to establish whether a multi-agency approach to literacy enables more families to have better access to local support for literacy. The team is inviting tenders for a short-term piece of work which will inform the evaluation of the project.
Key areas of activity will include:
- Reviewing a large range of evidence sources
- Securing additional evidence via interviews with a selection of authorities (specifically the Family Reading Matters Coordinator, their line manager and the project's senior management "Champion.")
- Collation and analysis of evidence under key themes
- Drafting illustrative case studies which demonstrate the range of local delivery models under each theme
The National Literacy Trust is based in South West London but there is an expectation that this role would not be based at the Trust offices.
